Mercedes-Benz Financial Services doubles business volumes in two years

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its success in doubling the amount of vehicles financed since 2009, helping more customers to purchase vans and trucks than ever before. In 2011, one in every three Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles and one in every two Mercedes-Benz
tractors was financed by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS).

The record levels in finance have been enhanced by the one-stop-shop approach of MBFS, which boasts the fact that they can supply credit to 4 out of every 5 customers who apply for funding. The dedicated financial arm of Mercedes-Benz has been able to offer highly competitive rates, despite tough economic conditions in the UK, thanks to its independence from traditional high-street lenders.

MBFS, also known as CharterWay, is the only finance company to offer support from dedicated client service managers, free of charge, for any customers with five or more vans or trucks on contract hire, providing a complete relationship management service. The Managers are experienced commercial vehicle industry professionals, with the technical knowledge and appreciation of the day-to-day challenges which face operators to back-up their financial expertise.

Alex Matthews, Director of Commercial Vehicles and Direct Sales at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, said, “We are still here providing finance for our customers when others aren’t and as a result,  our customer base is growing and we are proud to be supporting UK businesses during difficult financial climates."

“We have a really exciting year ahead in 2012, with the launch of the New Actros, Canter TF, and developing some highly compelling pricing options across Mercedes-Benz vans to make our products highly appealing and affordable to every customer,” he adds.
