Tyco Suzuki MX look forward to season shakedown

The Tyco Suzuki by TAS Motocross team will make their competitive outdoor debut this weekend, as the new look team with riders Stephen Sword and Stuart Edmonds head to the Hawkstone International for their first competive shakedown of the year.

Following the
annoucement and launch of the new-look team back in December last year on the main stage at Motorcycle Live, with the new sponsor and two new riders, the Northern Ireland based team has been working hard over the winter months, with both riders acclimatising well to their RM-Z Suzukis.

Stephen Sword said, "I've been lucky enough to have a practice bike over the winter and get out as much as I can. Obviously I competed in the Supercross last year too on a Suzuki, so I'm certainly feeling familiar with the bike now. Hawkstone will give us a great opportunity to fine tune the bike and give us a gauge of where we are against the competition. We're treating this like a test more than anything and if we get some decent results, that's a bonus."

"Having spent so long on a different make of bike, I fully expected to take a while to acclimatise to the Suzuki, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I clicked with the bike pretty much from the beginning, so I'm looking forward to getting out into the thick of it this weekend and seeing how we fair," said Stuart Edmonds.

Team manager, Adam Lyons said, "Hawkstone's a tough place to ride, but it presents us with the best opportunity for a competitive debut. We know we have some fine tuning to do, but on the whole were confident of both riders abilities and by using this event as a further team test, we can hopefully go into the championship season full of confidence and speed."
