HMIL cautions job seekers against fraudsters

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) cautioned potential job seekers and the general public against emailed job offers being made purportedly by the company, against security deposits.

HMIL clarified that all its recruitments are done directly and the company
does not accept or seek any sort of deposit from potential candidates for any position in the company.

In recent times, fraudsters have through emails, promised jobs at Hyundai Motor India Limited against caution money deposits. HMIL has requested affected candidates to file a complaint with the local police station the moment any caution money is sought from them either for an interview or for the final placement.

The common modus operandi followed by these fraudsters is to ask candidates to deposit partially refundable caution money to make them eligible for the first round of selection. Interviews are then conducted by them posing as company officials either telephonically or through a face to face meeting. The selected candidates are then notified through emails from Gmail or Hotmail.
