Fuso on its way to becoming an efficiency champion

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has received a new order from its longtime customer Linfox Logistics, in Thailand. Linfox Logistics is the largest privately-owned supply
chain solutions company in the Asia-Pacific region. The order for 140 Fuso Fighter medium-duty trucks will increase Linfox’s Fuso truck fleet to a total of 380 units. Fuso delivers the vehicles by May 2012, underlining the company’s continuing success in its international operations in 2012.

“We are delighted with this three-digit major order from our longtime partner, Linfox Logistics,” says MFTBC President, Albert Kirchmann. “This order is a symbol of trust that our customers put in our fuel-efficient and durable Fuso Fighter. Fuso stands by its commitment to delivering reliable and cost effective vehicles and after-sales support in the spirit of optimizing customers’ total cost of ownership.”

Fuso 2015 growth strategy – Leader in green innovation
In its efforts to optimise total cost of ownership and reduce CO2 emissions by 7.5 per cent, Fuso aims to be a leader in fuel efficiency and green innovation. This claim is based on one of the five pillars of the Fuso 2015 growth strategy, with which Fuso aims to double international sales to 200,000 units annually over the medium-term.

However, Fuso not only wants to further boost sales, as it is also focusing on the development and production of sustainable commercial vehicles. “With great dedication, Fuso is forging ahead with advanced environmentally friendly technologies, focusing, on the one hand, on the optimisation of conventional, fuel-efficient diesel drive technologies, and, on the other hand, on the further development of hybrid and electric drive systems,” states Gustav Tuschen, MFTBC Vice-President of Product Engineering.

Successful growth through partnership with longtime customer
MFTBC will continue to focus on its commitment to delivering reliable, durable, and clean commercial vehicles of high quality.

This is demonstrated amongst other things by the loyalty of the customer Linfox, with which Fuso has a longtime partnership in Thailand that dates back to 1998. The order for 140 Fuso trucks will expand Linfox’s existing Fuso fleet of 240 vehicles. The trucks will be handed over by May 2012.
