Peugeot sales hold strong with anticipation of new 208 arrival

With sales of new cars in the new ‘12’-plate month of March, Peugeot is selling more cars than it did last year. Its ‘Drive Away Happy’ campaign continues to appeal to customers, promoting the popular and financially attractive ‘Just Add Fuel’ package that takes the hassle
out of running a car; looking after the customer's insurance, servicing and warranty, road tax and roadside assistance for one fixed monthly amount over three years.

Sales for Peugeot vehicles in March were up 2 per cent at 18,969, with a year-to-date total of 29,411 up 3.2 per cent. March saw sales of the popular 107 rise by 28 per cent, and the well-equipped 207, soon to be succeeded by the new 208, saw sales similar to the previous year. Fleet sales were up 6.3 per cent recognising the growing appeal of the new 508. Light Commercial Van sales also continue to grow with 8 per cent of the market, previously at 7.5 per cent.

In the first half of 2012, Peugeot has been in an intense product launch phase. The arrival of a world first with the award-winning and accomplished 3008 HYbrid4, was followed by the restyled 107 and the new 508 RXH which uses the same HYbrid4 technology. Announced in March and available mid-year is the all-new 208 - a product of regeneration that will define the hallmarks of its sector. Also recently announced was the restyled Partner and Expert Van and Tepee ranges, which make their debut at the forthcoming CV show at the Birmingham NEC later this month.
