Tim Pollard appointed as Managing Editor of MSN Cars

Microsoft announced that Tim Pollard has been appointed as Managing Editor of MSN Cars.

Tim is currently Associate Editor of CAR magazine, with responsibility for the magazine's digital activities including its website and recently launched iPad edition. Before his role at
CAR, Tim was Deputy Editor of What Car? magazine.

Tim has won a number of awards during his career, most recently being named the Guild of Motoring Writers Business Writer of the Year award in 2011.  He was named the Guild’s Journalist of the Year in 2007.

"I'm thrilled to be joining MSN Cars at this time," said Tim. "It's a motoring website with an enormous reach and the plans we're developing suggest it has a very bright future indeed."

In addition to running MSN Cars, Tim will also have responsibility for MSN Tech and MSN Money. Tim starts at MSN on January 21, 2013.  Tim replaces Tom Evans, who has recently become Head of all of MSN UK's channel websites.

MSN Cars is currently one of the UK's most popular motoring websites according to independent data from comScore Media Metrix.
