Chatham becomes official supplier of team footwear to Sahara Force India

Sahara Force India announced the signing of a multi-year partnership with Chatham Marine, which sees the UK's leading boat shoe manufacturer become the official supplier of team footwear.

Having supplied the team with travel shoes last year, the relationship will now
see Chatham shoes being used trackside and by all factory staff. A new range of Chatham branded clothing will also be issued to all travelling staff.

The expanded partnership will see the launch of a Sahara Force India branded shoe specially designed for the global retail market, a strategy that ties in with Chatham's continued growth in the Asian subcontinent. The shoe contains a touch of Indian styling with creative input from Dr. Vijay Mallya.

Chatham branding will be visible on all team shoes, travel kit, trucks and the team's website.

"It's great news that we have been able to expand our association with Chatham as they invest further in the team. The new Sahara Force India shoe looks very smart and adds Chatham's name to a growing number of companies wishing to use the Sahara Force India brand to strengthen and diversify their product range," said Dr. Vijay Mallya, Team Principal and Managing Director for Sahara Force India.

Philip Marsh, Managing Director at Chatham said, "We are delighted to continue our association with Sahara Force India. This is a fabulous association for us and we are looking forward to building on last year's success. For 2013 we are excited to have signed a multi-year global licensing agreement reflected in the team trainer, and will also be providing travel shoes and clothing. As the Formula One team gears up for the 2013 season, it's the perfect showcase for Chatham, reinforcing our strong tradition of style and quality, and will help to drive brand awareness. Plus, as part of our ambitious plans to expand further into international markets, this partnership provides a potentially exciting business opportunity in India. We are looking forward to supporting the team as they continue their fight to move up the highly competitive Formula One grid."
