Ford's record-breaking haul at Vans A2Z awards includes overall Van of the Year

Ford's market-leading commercial vehicles picked up an unprecedented six trophies at the third annual Vans A2Z awards. The five accolades were topped with Ford Transit Custom being named overall Van of the Year 2013.

The all-new Ford Transit Custom also claimed
the top spot for Best Small Panel Van as well as the award for Best Innovation due to its five-star Euro NCAP safety rating - the first vehicle in its segment to achieve five stars.

Ford Transit won Best Minibus for the third year running, and the frugal new Fiesta Van - which accounts more than 60 per cent of its segment - won Best Small Van. Ford Ranger, International Pick-up of the Year 2013, was highly commended.

In terms of dynamics, refinement, safety and clever, functional design features, it is untouchable," said Neil McIntee, Vans A2Z Editor.

Ford commercial vehicles Chief Designer, Paul Campbell, said, "Ford is continuing to invest healthily in its commercial vehicle range, resulting in modern aesthetics, innovative design features and the latest in high-tech, low-CO2 powertrains."

"The award-winning Transit Custom is the latest addition to Ford's commercial vehicle range, and with new and exciting products still to come by 2014, Ford will continue to lead the competition."
