Jaguar Land Rover sells 28,503 vehicles in April; increase of 12 per cent

Jaguar Land Rover last month sold 28,503 vehicles - its best ever April, an increase of 12 per cent versus the same period last year. During the first four months of the year, Jaguar Land Rover sold 143,974 vehicles, up 16 per cent.

April sales were up for Jaguar Land Rover
in every major region: with Asia Pacific up 37 per cent, the UK up 32 per cent, the China region up 10 per cent, North America up 6 per cent, Europe up 2 per cent and other overseas markets up 11 per cent (including India which is up 6 per cent). The same trend is reflected in the first four months of the year with sales up 21 per cent in Asia Pacific, 20 per cent in the UK, 18 per cent in the China Region, 13 per cent in North America, 8 per cent in Europe and 22 per cent in other overseas markets.

"This is a positive start to our second quarter sales and continues the growth trend seen in the first three months of the year," said Phil Popham, Jaguar Land Rover's Director of Group Sales Operations.

"Sales of the Jaguar XF remain buoyant across many of our key markets and we are seeing the positive impact of the all new Range Rover with approaching 15,000 cars sold in the first four months of this year."
