Tata Motors delivers 39,623 vehicles in July 2014, down 23 per cent

Tata Motors' total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in July 2014 were 39,623 vehicles, a decline of 23 per cent over 51,549 vehicles sold in July 2013. The company's domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for July 2014
were 35,256 vehicles, 25 per cent decline over 47,272 vehicles sold in July last year.

Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 149,597 vehicles, lower by 27 per cent over 204,744 vehicles, sold last year.

The company's sales of commercial vehicles in July 2014 in the domestic market were 26,089 vehicles, a 28 per cent decline compared to 36,448 vehicles sold in July last year. LCV sales were 16,364 vehicles, a decline of 39 per cent over July last year, while M&HCV sales stood at 9,725 vehicles, remained flat in July.

Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal was 101,254 vehicles, lower by 30 per cent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales was 64,371 vehicles, a decline of 37 per cent over last year, while M&HCV sales stood at 36,883 vehicles, lower by 10 per cent over last year.

Sales of passenger vehicles for July 2014 were at 9,167 vehicles, lower by 15 per cent over 10,824 vehicles sold in July 2013. Sales of the Nano/Indica/Indigo range in July 2014 were 6,703 vehicles, lower by 22 per cent over 8,546 vehicles sold in July 2013. The Sumo/Safari/Aria/Venture range sales were 2,464 vehicles, a growth of 8 per cent over 2,278 vehicles, sold in July last year.

Cumulative sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 33,749 vehicles, lower by 26 per cent over last year. Cumulative sales of the Nano/Indica/Indigo range this fiscal was 25,221 vehicles, lower by 30 per cent over vehicles sold, over last year. The Sumo/Safari/Aria/Venture range sales stood at 8,528 vehicles, 8 per cent decline over 9,313 vehicles, sold last year.

The company's sales from exports were 4,367 vehicles in July 2014, registered a growth of 2 per cent compared to 4,277 vehicles in July last year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 14,594 vehicles, was lower by 7 per cent over 15,712 vehicles, over last year.
