Changes at Volkswagen Group Communications

Group Communications at Volkswagen is strengthening Volkswagen Product Communications effective February 1, 2012.

Pietro Zollino (44) assumes responsibility as Head of Volkswagen product communications and reports to Peter Thul, who
heads communications at the Volkswagen brand and coordinates product communications for the Group brands.

Zollino is a physics graduate and professional journalist. He became a press spokesperson at Daimler AG in 2002, and was latterly in charge of communications at the Mercedes subsidiary AMG, head of press test vehicles for all of the group’s brands, and press spokesperson for the accessories division. Prior to that, Zollino spent more than ten years working as a journalist, inter alia for Motor-Presse Stuttgart.
