Andrea Baker joins Bentley as Head of Media Relations

Bentley Motors has announced the appointment of Andrea Baker as Head of Media Relations. She will report directly to Michael Baumann, Bentley’s Director of Communications.

Andrea has nearly 15 years of experience in the UK automotive industry. She joins
Bentley from Porsche Cars Great Britain where as Head of Public Relations, she is currently responsible for Porsche UK’s PR strategy encompassing product, motorsport, corporate and heritage communications. Prior to joining Porsche in 2008, Andrea spent eight years at Volvo Car UK, joining the company in 2000 as Media Relations Manager before being promoted to Head of PR, Events and Sponsorship in 2007. She began her career as a Press Officer at the SMMT, the UK’s motor industry trade body, in 1998.

Andrea, who is 36, starts on May 8, 2012.

Commenting on the appointment, Michael Baumann, Director of Communications said, “This is an important new role at Bentley and I am looking forward to Andrea joining the team. She will be responsible for co-ordinating Bentley’s global media relations activity at an exciting and crucial time for the company as we look to build on our recent sales success and further expand our global brand awareness. Andrea will also play a key role in communicating the next steps in our plans to launch a Bentley SUV.”
