Bram Schot to head sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Bram Schot (50) has been given executive responsibility for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles effective April 1, 2012. Schot succeeds Harald Schomburg, who will leave the company by mutual consent once the transition to his successor has been
completed.

Bram Schot joined the Volkswagen Group in 2011, initially taking charge of strategic projects at Group Sales. He began his career in 1982 at DAF Trucks Netherlands. Schot moved to Mercedes-Benz in 1987, where the native of the Netherlands held various international posts, latterly as President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Italia from 2006 to 2011. Schot has extensive experience in the commercial vehicles business.

Harald Schomburg (52) joined the Volkswagen Group in 1988 having completed his business management studies and has since held various sales posts in the passenger car and commercial vehicles fields. Schomburg was given executive responsibility for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in 2006 and was appointed Member of the Brand Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Sales and Marketing in 2007.
