Nitin Prasad appointed as new MD of Shell Lubricants India

Shell Lubricants announced the appointment of Nitin Prasad as the new Country Head - India, Shell Lubricants. Prasad will be replacing Donald Anderson, who served this position for the last 3 years. Under Prasad's leadership, Shell Lubricants will further its focus on growth,
through brand building, technology partnerships with key customers and introduction of new, differentiated and innovative offerings that cater to the India Lubricants consumer.

Speaking about his plans for the Indian market, Prasad said, "He is eager to build on the momentum of Shell India's success story. India holds tremendous potential as one of the fastest growing economies of the world and is a key market for Shell Lubricants. These are exciting times not only for the Shell brand but also for the industry as a whole and I am excited and honored to take up this assignment and be part of the most reputed Lubricants family.

Prasad's previous appointment was as the Asia Pacific and Middle East regional head for the Chemicals Supply Chain. Prasad has held several roles within Shell across strategy and portfolio, project management, sales, marketing and operations including senior strategic advisor in the Downstream Strategy and Portfolio team and Sales Director for hydrocarbon solvents. Prior to joining Shell, Prasad was a Strategic Marketing Manager responsible for new product development in Altera Corp. (a semi-conductor company based in the USA). Prasad is an engineering graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA and has completed his MBA from INSEAD.

On the appointment of Prasad, Vikram Singh Mehta, Country Chairman - Shell India Markets Pvt. Ltd. said, "I am extremely pleased to welcome Nitin Prasad to the Shell family. His expertise and experience will add great value to Shell India's lubricant operations."
