Double award success for Nissan’s dynamic duo

Nissan’s dynamic Crossover duo, Qashqai and Juke, have both picked up awards from leading industry publications, Fleet News and Parkers.

Cars in the Fleet News Crossover sector were judged on a number of criteria, including operating costs, suitability for
their use as business cars and the level of support from the manufacturers and their corporate sales teams. Qashqai beat off stiff competition from rivals including Kia Sportage, Range Rover Evoque, Mini Countryman and Skoda Yeti to take the title.

Stephen Briers, Editor of Fleet News commented, “The Nissan Qashqai is the car that originally defined this segment. It’s always been a favourite among company car drivers looking for something more practical than a hatchback. Costs have always been competitive, but now, with the new 1.6-litre diesel engine with stop-start, it is class leading.”

Not to be outdone by its big brother, Juke also picked up a Best Crossover award from Parkers, proving that this fashionable small car has more than just style on offer.

Kieren Puffett, Editor of Parkers added, “The Nissan Juke is winning many fans for delivering sheer value for money and outshined its rivals in the Crossover category by holding on to its value. Its diesel engine is frugal and its low emissions mean you pay nothing for first year road tax. The Nissan Juke Visia 1.5dCi is a class act, proving that you don’t have to pay the earth to own a great looking car and is an extremely worthy winner.”

Commenting on the double award win, James Douglas, Nissan’s Corporate Sales Director said, “We always try to provide consumers with the lowest possible running costs and it is great to see both our Crossover models being recognised by two of the leading experts in the industry.  With the addition of the technically advanced 1.6-litre dCi stop-start engine in Qashqai, we are confident that we will continue to deliver further value to all fleet drivers.”
