Renault drives in Pulse with petrol variant

Renault India, the fully owned subsidiary of French car maker Renault s.a.s., took another step ahead in showing its commitment to the Indian automobile market with the introduction of the petrol variant of the premium hatchback – the Pulse. Renault India had
launched the Pulse during the Delhi Auto Expo in January in two trim levels powered by the 1.5-litre, K9K diesel engine.

The new Pulse petrol is a product launched for our Indian customers and it will help Renault to broaden its customer base and cater to customers who are looking for a comfortable premium hatch with a competitive price tag,” said Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India Pvt. About the Pulse petrol
The Pulse epitomises Renault’s philosophy of bringing affordable cars with innovative technology and sporty, dynamic design. The Pulse which was designed at the Renault design studio in Mumbai brings in a host of features which are user friendly and innovative.

Engine & Transmission
The Pulse petrol is powered by an inline, 3-cylinder, 1,198 cc,  DOHC, 12-valve engine, that ranks among the best-in-class in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. (According to ARAI test data the Pulse achieves 18.06 Kmpl). The petrol engine delivers maximum power of 76 ps@ 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 104 nm@ 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Same as the Pulse diesel K9K engine, the new Pulse petrol engine is also manufactured locally at the Renault – Nissan Alliance factory located in Oragadam on the outskirts of Chennai.

Features & safety
The Pulse petrol will be available in 3 different variants RxE, RxL and RxZ and is an ideal introduction of the Renault world to the young and aspiring Indian customers. The top of the line variant Pulse petrol RxZ offers dual airbags adding to both driver and passenger safety, equipped with ABS with EBD, illuminated engine start/stop button, foldable outside rear view mirrors, automatic climate control, smart access key,  rear defogger with timer, front fog lamps etc.

The Pulse petrol RxL variant is equipped with a  the driver airbag, electronic power steering, front and rear power windows, central locking, air conditioning, integrated audio system, rear wiper and washer, follow-me headlamps etc

The Pulse petrol RxE variant comes in with the driver airbag, electronic power steering, central locking, air-conditioning, follow-me headlamps etc.

The Pulse rides on standard 14 inch wheels with Macpherson struts in the front and coil springs in the rear which adds stabilty to the ride and gives the car superb driving dynamics.

The new Pulse petrol will be available in pearl white, metallic red, solid black, metallic silver, metallic grey and champagne gold colour. The Pulse petrol will be priced at Rs. 425,000 for the RxE, Rs. 499,000 for the RxL and Rs. 555,000 for the RxZ variant ( ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The Pulse, petrol like the other products from Renault India comes with the Renault Complete Care package, which offers 2+2 year/80,000 km warranty along with other benefits like Concierge services, 24x7 roadside assistance, Navigation assistance, etc.
