New Micra is
based on the popular fourth-generation city car with major redesigned exteriors, refreshed premium interiors and exhaustive list of advanced user friendly features adds to the dynamic new look.
New Micra is a robust, dynamic, advanced hatchback with cutting edge technology, offering spacious interiors and premium features. It comes loaded with user friendly and safety features for a superior and safe driving experience. New Micra now also offers the convenience of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox. It's the first in segment technology for better fuel efficiency and smooth city driving experience, more convenient as compared to a normal automatic transmission.
Also launched is Micra Active that takes the value for money proposition of Nissan's highly acclaimed hatchback to a whole new level. It has distinctive sporty exteriors with spacious interiors while adding a lower cost of ownership to the equation. The Micra Active benefits from its highly competitive price, maintenance costs and better fuel efficiency of 19.49 kmpl, all this without compromise on driving experience. The model also boasts sporty exterior styling as well as refreshed interiors and comfortable seating for five passengers, making it ideal for small families. Micra Active is also available in a special safety grade with added safety features.

"To ensure good sales and after sales service across the nation, we are planning to increase our dealer networks at a rapid pace. We have also partnered with major banking institutions to provide easy financing and loans disbursement schemes through our dealerships for our retail customers," added Tipnis.
New Micra - An overview
New Micra makes an aggressive statement with the redesigned front and rear. The overall length of the car has increased by 45 mm to 3,825 mm. The car now gets a sculpted bonnet and front bumper with signature V-shaped chrome grille. Front fog lamps with a thick chrome finish add to the premium appeal. The rear too gets a redesigned bumper with a lip finisher and bright LED tail lamps as well as high mounted LED stop lamp, which is a segment first. New attractive diamond shape 8-spoke alloy wheels complete the statement that New Micra makes.
Premium interiors & ultra spacious cabin
The upgrades continue to the interiors, which gets an all-new centre console with piano black finish and silver accents for a premium feel. The overall ambience is an ultra-spacious cabin with excellent legroom and headroom to accommodate five adults comfortably. Adding to the comfort further, there is a six-way manually adjustable driver seat for stress free driving. The roomy interior space is further enhanced by silver finished door trims, redesigned seats with new premium upholstery, 2-din music system with USB and AUX capability, steering mounted controls, rear view camera and Bluetooth connectivity among others. These new features have been incorporated in the Micra based on the customer feedback, highlighting Nissan's strong commitment towards customer satisfaction.
First hatchback offering advanced Xtronic CVT
The major highlight of New Micra is the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox and this is the first hatchback in India offering Xtronic CVT technology with Sports mode button. The key benefits CVT provides for customers is smooth acceleration and no shift shock unlike conventional automatic transmissions and tops it up with its best in class fuel efficiency. It is the only transmission in the segment that is affordable, with fuel efficiency of 19.34 kmpl as per ARAI rated higher than manual and conventional automatic gearbox equipped cars.
Refined engineering
Under the hood, New Micra will come with two engine variants petrol and diesel, offering superior performance without compromise on fuel efficiency. The fuel efficiency of tried and tested 1.2-litre petrol engine, stands slightly improved to 18.44 kmpl (ARAI certified) due to performance tuning. The fuel efficiency of 1.5 litre diesel variant is 23.08 kmpl (ARAI certified). Improved NVH levels have also resulted in quieter cabins.
Advanced safety features
New Micra comes with dual front airbags and side airbags. The car is loaded with safety features like Anti-lock Braking system (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), all three combined. Added to this, there is Reverse Camera and Auto Anti-Dazzling Room Mirror. Also, it offers good all round visibility and commanding road view.
Variants
New Micra will be available in four standard variants of XL, XL Option, XV and XV Premium (only in Diesel). The Micra Xtronic CVT will only be available in the XV variant. New Nissan Micra will be introduced in a range of six colours - olive green (new), turquoise blue (new), blade silver, storm white, onyx black and brick red.
New Micra is priced competitively in its segment providing a complete package of features, performance, drivability and comfort.

Micra Active - an overview
Micra Active is the perfect hatchback for customers seeking an economical car without compromising on quality, fuel efficiency, styling and spacious interiors. It offers delightful ownership experience with high fuel efficiency and low maintenance cost. Micra Active features a sporty exterior design, due to the redesigned front bumper and lively, roomy interiors. Competitive price for Micra Active has been achieved through design & feature optimization, making the car more accessible for first time car buyers.
Micra Active is powered by the 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 68 ps at 5,000 rpm and 104 nm at 4,000 rpm. Performance tuning & overall vehicle weight reduction contributed for better Fuel Efficiency of 19.49 kmpl in Micra Active. Overall vehicle weight has been reduced by about 30 kg in Micra Active base model compared to the outgoing Micra base variant.
Micra Active will be available in four trim levels - XE, XL, XV and XV safety pack. XV Safety comes loaded with safety features like Dual airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, immobilizer, speed sensing door locks and central locking. Micra Active range will come in six different colours to choose from - turquoise blue (new), blade silver, storm white, onyx black, aqua green and brick red.
