Nissan appoints new Communications Director

Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd. has announced changes to its Communications team.

David Jackson has replaced Tom Barnard as Communications Director, Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd.

David joined Nissan in 2001 and has held a wide variety of roles including Head
of EV Communications at Nissan Europe. Recently, he has been responsible for Nissan's NV200 London Taxi project.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Communications team. With so many launches over the coming months, it's certainly an exciting time for Nissan and I'm looking forward to meeting some of the press at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, then later in the month at the UK launch of the new Note and Micra," said David.

Tom Barnard, formerly Communications Director, is appointed General Manager, Product Communications Nissan Europe. In his new role he will be responsible for coordinating all product communications throughout Europe.

"I'll be sad to move on from the UK press office after three exciting years but I leave the team in more than capable hands. David knows the product inside and out and is an experienced PR pro who will soon become a familiar face to British media. As for me, I'm very much looking forward to the challenge of working across Europe and clocking up some air miles," said Tom.
