Porsche India announces the arrival of the new Panamera @ Rs. 1.19 crore

The Porsche Panamera, the brand's four-seater sports car for every day which gave the automotive executive class a new lease of life, is expanding further by introducing the second-generation in India. With the new Panamera, the sports carmaker has pushed the contradictions
to the limit - even sportier dynamics and greater efficiency with more comfort and a decidedly sharper design for the ultimate driving pleasure.

"The Panamera is Porsche's unique offering in the Gran Turismo segment - it has four doors and four seats but it's a sports car through and through. Luxury, comfort and driving performance all come together in a distinctive package in the new Panamera. With its introduction in India, our customers can look forward to a thrilling alternative in this segment," said Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India.

Five models of the new Panamera are available for sale in India - the Panamera Turbo, the naturally aspirated Panamera GTS, two variants of the petrol V6, Panamera and Panamera 4, as well as the Panamera Diesel. The Panamera Turbo proves that efficiency need not mean a compromise in sporting performance, featuring 520 hp, a maximum speed of 305 km/h and 10.2 L/100 km average fuel consumption. With a top speed of 244 km/h, 250 hp and an average consumption of 6.3 L/100 km, the Panamera Diesel stands for a unique range of driving experience more than ever.

The model redesign has an enhanced driver experience at its core. The redeveloped Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) with virtual intermediate gears further improves fuel economy and comfort. At the front suspension, larger chassis mounts offer even more comfort and greater solidity, whilst advanced steering box mounts provide a more direct response. Newly developed tyres, lighter 18-inch wheels and a specifically tuned Porsche Stability Management (PSM) add to the car's sportiness and comfort.

Traditional values and pioneering design come together to form an accomplished unit. Visually tighter lines, more pronounced contours and newly shaped body elements all combine to enhance the Panamera's Gran Turismo character. A widened rear windscreen gives the car a visually lower stance, whilst a wider spoiler and optional LED headlights make the new model stand out.

The new Panamera comes with a host of features as standard equipment, including electric sun roof, Porsche Communication Management plus Navigation, Bose sound system, park assist with reverse camera and air-suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) - the latter is present in all models except in the entry-level V6 petrol variant.

An extensive list of optional equipment is available for customers, which includes full LED headlights featuring Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus and a 1000 W Burmester Surround Sound System. In addition, the new Panamera can be highly customised through the Porsche Exclusive Program.

The new Panamera is available for order as of today across the eight authorised Porsche Centres in India.
