Block Busreisen takes delivery of first TopClass 500 in Germany

Tour operator Block Busreisen from Husum in Lower Saxony has taken delivery of the first vehicle from the Setra TopClass 500 series to be delivered to a German customer. Company owner Alfred Block, who collected the S 516 HDH together with his wife Cornelia and
son Jan-Erik from the Setra Customer Center in Neu-Ulm.

"We are extremely proud to be the first German company to have such a luxury vehicle as the new Setra TopClass in our fleet. We have always strived to have the nicest coaches available on the market. For our company, taking delivery of such a vehicle is like reaching for the stars," said Block.

It is in fact possible to see heavenly bodies when travelling in the new S 516 HDH. This is because the three-axle vehicle is fitted with the large Setra TopSky Panorama glass roof which, with just one per cent light transmission, represents a world first in the European bus and coach production sector. "This optional extra was an absolute must-have item for us," block added.

In the S 516 HDH, passengers can stretch out on one of 48 leather seats. With seat spacing of 83 cm, the 4-star touring coach boasts plenty of space for passengers, who can also enjoy watching DVB-T television during their journey. Safety is taken care of among other things by adaptive cruise control with the advanced emergency braking system ABA2, which is even able to brake the coach on detecting stationary obstacles.
