Nissan starts production of the Nissan X-Trail in Saint Petersburg

Nissan announced the start of production of the new X-trail at St. Petersburg as the company boosts its manufacturing presence in Russia.

The new X-Trail combines the best of Nissan's 4x4 heritage and Crossover expertise to create the ultimate alternative to conventional
D-segment models. It is packed with premium yet accessible technologies to enhance driving experience and enable a confident and safer ride with the Safety Shield package.

Nissan is doubling the production capacity at the St. Petersburg plant to 100,000 vehicles and is increasing the number of models produced there from three to five. In August this year production of the new Nissan Pathfinder started and the new Qashqai will be soon be added to the line.

Paul Willcox, Chairman, Nissan Europe and Dmitry Mikhailox, Managing Director of Nissan's St. Petersburg plant, unveiled the new model during a day of celebrations to mark the start of production.
