Peek behind the scenes at MG in Birmingham

MG Motor UK is inviting fans to have a look behind the scenes when the world-famous Birmingham site opens for tours.

Visitors will be given a two hour guided tour of the Lowhill Lane site which has been associated with cars for more than 100 years. But alongside the
history, people will be able to see the latest 21st century MG models which are designed and engineered at the MG Birmingham site.

In the Sales Centre the latest MG6 GT fastbacks and MG6 Magnette sports saloons are on view. Visitors will also be shown inside the huge state-of-the-art Technical Centre where 300 engineers work on new MG cars and components.

Inside the Conference Centre guests will be able to see Lord Austin’s office, exactly as it was when the great man sat behind his desk, and soak up the historic atmosphere. The MG Museum will also open its doors and car fans will be delighted with the famous cars on show.

The site tour can not include the car production area at present, but it is hoped to include this in the near future.
