Porsche Talent Team Germany player causes a sensation in Paris

Dinah Pfizenmaier, a member of the Porsche Talent Team Germany, has sensationally qualified for the main draw at the French Open. For the 20-year-old, it is the biggest success of her career up to now.

Playing in the qualifying tournament, Dinah Pfizenmaier, the
current world No. 194, initially beat the Czech Kristyna Pliskova 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. She then went on to defeat Misaki Doi from Japan 6-3, 3-6, 8-6. The German once again had to go the full distance in the qualifying final on Friday before beating Puerto Rico’s Monica Puig, who stood in the final of the 2011 junior Grand Slam tournaments in Melbourne and Paris, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 to clinch a place in the main draw of the French Open.

Within the framework of the premium partnership between Porsche AG and the German Tennis Association (DTB), the Porsche Talent Team Germany supports four up-and-coming German youngsters. The other three alongside Dinah Pfizenmaier are Annika Beck, Carina Witthoft and Antonia Lottner.
