Infiniti US sales increase 65.8 per cent for May

Infiniti reported US sales of 10,592 units for the month of May, an increase of 65.8 per cent versus 6,389 units a year earlier. Infiniti sales have increased 7.2 per cent to 43,941 vehicles for the first five months of 2012.

Highlights of Infiniti’s sales results for
May, which was the automaker’s best performance in five years, include:
> The Infiniti G Sedan had sales of 3,758, an increase of 40 per cent, and the best May since 2008
> The Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV had its best May since 2006, with sales of 994 units, an increase of 27.6 per cent
> The all-new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover contributed incremental sales of 2,678 units for May, and 5,297 for the year

“With a sales increase of more than 65 per cent, May was a fantastic month for Infiniti, our best since 2007,” said Ben Poore, Vice-President, Infiniti Americas. “Our retailers reported strong traffic in their showrooms, not only for the all-new Infiniti JX, which has successfully fulfilled customers’ desires for a unique, new take on a luxury crossover, but for our Infiniti G and M lines as well."
