Martin Hamill appointed as Citroen UK Fleet Director

Citroen UK announce the appointment of Martin Hamill as Fleet Director with effect from July 9, 2012.

Martin's appointment follows Andy Wady's recent decision to take up a new position outside the Group.

Reporting to Managing Director, Linda Jackson, Martin
will be responsible for Citroen UK's National Fleet business. The re-marketing of used Citroen vehicles will also fall within Martin's remit.

Martin, 45, has been with Citroen for 13 years - starting out as an Area Fleet Manager, handling Citroen's fleet car and LCV business in the Midlands. He then moved to the position of Commercial Manager, working with the Citroën dealer network, and was then promoted to become National Fleet Operations Manager where he was responsible for Citroen's Area Fleet team.

In his current role as Head of Commercial Vehicles & Business Sector, Martin has delivered Business Sector car and van sales growth year on year of 39.7 per cent in 2011 and 24.7 per cent to the end of May 2012.

Commenting on his new appointment, Martin said, "I'm delighted to take up this important role at such an exciting time for the Brand. The introduction of the DS line and initiatives like our Business Class programme have changed the way we're perceived right across the industry. We will continue to develop our fleet offering and service levels, and I look forward to working closely with my team so that we further build our presence and therefore volumes in the years to come."
