Suzuki launches all-new 2012 merchandise collection

Suzuki GB PLC has launched its largest ever clothing and merchandise collection for the 2012 season, with all-new lines that see the Japanese manufacturer depart from traditional and conventional automobile branded designs, to a range styled closer
to high street fashion labels.

"Anybody can wear anything' was a key concept throughout the development process which has meant a strengthened choice of ladies and children's clothing as well as a wider array of fashion led clothing which will broaden the appeal of Suzuki clothing beyond the more traditional Suzuki fan base.

The new collection was designed by a European team of designers and takes inspiration from Suzuki's rich Japanese roots and heritage combining this with a European take on fashion. These ideas are referenced by the use of Japanese Katakana script in the form of a 'Suzuki' motif and also the overall styling of each item in the collection.

The 2012 collection is made up of over 85 brand new items which sit in seven bespoke ranges; corporate formal, corporate casual, kids, fan wear, heritage, fashion and work wear. The corporate formal line provides stylish, well-tailored shirts for the office whilst work wear provides functional workshop wear. The heritage and fashion ranges contain fashion-led items including hoodies, jackets and T-shirts for young and older enthusiasts.

"The launch of the 2012 collection is the culmination of months of hard work across Europe. We've taken our conventional approach to automotive merchandise and effectively ripped up the rule book and started again. With this collection we truly believe that there's an item for everyone and you really don't need to be an enthusiast either. Thanks to the team of designers involved in this collection, Suzuki clothing and merchandise can now stand proudly next to well-known high street names," said Suzuki GB's Emma Gibbon.
