Matthew Bendall promoted to Senior Press Officer in the Kia Press Office

Matthew Bendall has been promoted to the position of Senior Press Officer in the Kia Press Office.

Matthew has worked in the Press Office at Kia Motors (UK) Limited since he joined the company just over two and a half years ago – starting out as a Press Officer after having
gained media relations experience at another manufacturer.

In his new role Matthew will be assuming greater responsibility for communication planning and strategic responsibilities in addition to an increased focus on developing automotive media relations. The organisation of product launches and motor shows as well as day-to-day media communications will remain a core part of his responsibilities.

Commenting on the promotion, Stephen Kitson, Communications Director said, "Matt has become an invaluable member of the team and along with Sara Drummond-Bell this means I now have two excellent people providing additional dimensions to our relationships with the wider media. Matt is a car-nut and brings a particular focus to our product communications whilst Sara adds extra power to our relationship with audiences beyond the normal automotive media."

"Matt has developed strongly during the last couple of years and brings great strength in detail and depth to the team and I have asked him to focus his efforts on ensuring our specialist media customers get exactly what they need from us, going forward to the next stage of Kia's brand development in the UK," he added.

Matthew said, "The last two years have been a really exciting time here at Kia and a fantastic experience for me personally. I'm delighted to receive this promotion and assume a greater responsibility towards the development of the brand in the UK over the coming months and years alongside the fantastic PR team I work with."
