PT Tata Motors Indonesia showcases smart solutions for Indonesian mobility needs at IIMS

PT Tata Motors Indonesia is participating in the 20th Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The company has displayed 13 Tata passenger and commercial vehicles, being considered for introduction in Indonesia progressively. PT Tata Motors Indonesia is
a wholly owned Jakarta-based subsidiary of Tata Motors.

Among the vehicles on display are four Tata passenger vehicles - the Tata Indica Vista, a premium hatchback, two top-end variants from the Tata Nano family, Tata Nano LX, the Tata Aria, a luxurious crossover with the finesse of a sedan and the muscle of an SUV all blended in one car and the Tata Venture, a multi-purpose vehicle. The Tata commercial vehicles range include the Tata Xenon Pickup (Dual Cab version), Tata Ace EX, the Tata Super Ace and the Tata LPK 2528 Prima Tipper, from the Prima range of world standard trucks.

The technology capability on show includes a special green pavilion of Tata CNG vehicles, whose need is growing in Indonesia and also takes forward the core message of Eco-Mobility at the IIMS. The CNG vehicles on display include the Tata Nano CNG Concept, Tata Ace CNG, the Tata Xenon CNG, the Tata Magic CNG and the Tata LPO 1623 RE LE CNG Bus, all contributing to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, besides state-of-the-art drive technologies, latest infotronics, ultra-modern passenger comfort, safety and entertainment systems. These CNG vehicles are developed in-house and come with factory-fitted CNG engines, which are very safe and most economical to operate.

PT Tata Motors Indonesia also launched its official website - www.tatamotors.co.id and has introduced a 24x7 toll free customer assistance number - 0800-1-828200.

Based on customer feedback, we will progressively introduce relevant passenger and commercial vehicles, backed by appropriate distribution and service infrastructure such that we are closest to our customers," said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of PT Tata Motors Indonesia.

PT Tata Motors Indonesia will commence the commercial launch of Tata vehicles in 2013. By the time of the launch, PT Tata Motors Indonesia will have about 10 to 15 dealers nationwide, offering sales, service and spare parts. Over a period of three years, the company will set up a country-wide network of about 60 full-service dealers, about 100 other workshops and about 300 more spare parts retailers. The company also plans to introduce technical training centres, which will train mechanics and technicians to be fully conversant with Tata products inorder to provide best support to customers. Significant investment is planned for establishing manufacturing operations and localisation of components in Indonesia.
