Visteon to display automotive electronics innovations at Electronica 2012

Visteon Corporation will present a range of automotive electronics products and innovations at Electronica 2012 in Munich, Germany, from November 13-16. Visteon will display a number of interactive concepts, demonstrating how the company leverages
its market and consumer insight to develop automotive products that explore future consumer electronics features to enhance the driving experience.

Visteon's latest vehicle concept, the e-Bee, will make its global debut at the show. Following a series of successful technology demonstration cars, the e-Bee is Visteon's vision of future mobility. It explores new ways of using and owning cars, facilitated by innovative technologies such as display-based controls and cloud-centered profiles, graphical user interfaces, illumination environments and 'physical app' accessories that allow considerable personalisation and reconfigurability.

Fully compatible with electrical vehicle platforms, the e-Bee demonstrates intelligent mobility, where the vehicle gathers and disseminates useful driving-related data, acts as part of a wider mobility-enabling network and integrates technology and design that is simple, flexible and frugal. The vehicle will be available for demonstrations at Visteon's booth.

Also on display at the show are Visteon's advanced infotainment, driver information, connectivity and human machine interaction (HMI) solutions. This full range of electronic technologies delivers flexible and scalable solutions to address new business models and consumers' fast-changing needs.

"By 2016, it is estimated that there will be more than 8-billion consumer mobile connected devices globally," said Christian Feltgen, Visteon's Global Director of Cockpit Electronics. "Our electronics development efforts are focused on helping vehicle manufacturers improve the driving experience – making it easier, safer, more convenient and more enjoyable for consumers to stay connected to their vehicles and the outside world."
