Bell Helmets and Mazda Raceway unveil commemorative helmet for 2013 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix

Bell Helmets and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, unveiled a commemorative helmet in honor of the 2013 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, taking place July 19-21 at the famed Northern California raceway. A limited run of the helmet will be available for purchase online during
the weeks leading up to the event, as well as onsite during race weekend at the Mazda Raceway Superstore, while supplies last.

The commemorative Bell Star Carbon helmet, features a breathtaking custom finish by renown air-brush artist Chris Wood of Santa Barbara-based paint shop Airtrix, with graphics that pay tribute to Northern California's historic Cannery Row. In 2012, Bell and Mazda Raceway partnered on a small run of commemorative helmets that were used solely for promotional purposes prior to and during the race weekend, paving the way for this year’s expanded program.

"The response from athletes and fans to last year's special edition commemorative helmet was so positive, that expanding and allowing race fans to purchase the helmet in 2013 was a no-brainer for us," said Chris Sackett, General Manager, Bell Powersports. "We've enjoyed a valuable partnership with Mazda Raceway over the years, and we jumped at the opportunity to partner with them once again for such an exciting initiative around one of America's greatest road racing events."

"The commemorative helmet provides the means to showcase one of our premier events and Bell's premium racing helmet, so it's an obvious win/win for both of us, and for the fans," said Steve Fields, Executive Director, Corporate Development for Mazda Raceway. "We're excited to see the reaction from our customers to the fact that they can now purchase one for themselves."
