Zircotec supports historic motorsport through sponsorship of Italian Alfa Revival Cup

Thermal barrier coatings specialist Zircotec is sponsoring the 2013 Alfa Revival Cup, a five round series of endurance races for classic Alfa Romeos built between 1947 and 1976. The series includes visits to some of Italy's most renowned circuits such as Monza and
Imola. Already a supporter of UK national motorsport, Zircotec's support of the Revival Cup will include prizes for all class winners.

With entries ranging from GT AMs, GT Juniors and Giuliettas, the Revival Cup features the type of historic race car that can benefit from Zircotec's range of thermal to improve performance and reliability.

"Through Italian distributor GPS Classic, Zircotec has seen a dramatic rise in interest for our thermal barrier products such as our ThermoHold ceramic coating for vehicle exhaust parts and our ZircoFlex heat shield material," said Zircotec's Sales Director Peter Whyman. "Our coatings are ideal for upgraded road cars and racers that are driven now much harder than they were in period, helping to reduce engine compartment temperatures, protect heat sensitive parts and solve hot start issues associated with carburettor fuel evaporation. Through GPS Classic, we have coated a range of exhausts; from a Fiat Abarth right through to a Lancia Stratos and 288 GTO Ferrari in the last 12 months. The fact our white coating replicates the exhaust finish of many period Italian racers, yet is significantly more durable, is an additional advantage."

The next round of the Revival Cup takes place on the June 22-23 at the Varano circuit.
