Infiniti appoints Vincent Gillet as Vice-President, Marketing

Vincent Gillet has been appointed Vice-President, Marketing, for Infiniti, effective September 2013. In this global role, Gillet (41) will be based at the company's global headquarters in Hong Kong and report to Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd.

Gillet
has 20 years of marketing experience with leading premium brands across the retail, wine & spirits, and hospitality industries, such as Chanel and LVMH. Most recently, he has been Senior Vice-President and Global Brand Leader for both, the W and the Le Meridien hotels at the Starwood group.

"Vincent Gillet is an entrepreneurial and creative Marketing Executive with a deep understanding of premium brands and customers," said de Nysschen. "He will further strengthen Infiniti's creative intuition and bring thought leadership to the team. We have ambitious objectives to become a compelling premium brand that offers a provocative alternative to the existing premium brands. Vincent's leadership will be key in our positioning of the brand and communication with our customers."

Gillet is a French national. During his career, he has gained far-reaching international experience from living and working in the UK, Asia and the US. Gillet started his work experience with the premium business at Chanel in 1993. In January 2000, he moved to the wine & spirits industry and joined LVMH as Senior Brand Manager for Moet & Chandon. As of February 2004, Gillet was Country Manager for Mumm Champagne in the UK, before he was appointed Global Brand Director for Stolichnaya vodka, a division of the Pernod Ricard group. In April 2009, he joined Six Senses Hotels & Spas as their Chief Marketing Officer before he started his most recent position with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in March 2012.

Gillet is a graduate of I.S.C. Business School in Paris. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
