Honda Motor Europe appoints Toshiaki Mikoshiba as President for its European operations

From April 1, 2014, Toshiaki Mikoshiba will become Managing Operating Officer, Honda Motor Co., Ltd., C.O.O. for Regional Operations (Europe Region) and President, Honda Motor Europe Ltd. He replaces Manabu Nishimae, who, following three years in the
role, takes up a new position in Japan, as Managing Operating Officer, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

The appointment comes at a time when Honda prepares to expand its power equipment and motorcycle range, as well as launching four significant new cars in the region during 2015.

Honda Motor Europe's three Senior Vice-Presidents - Ian Howells, Philip Ross and Koji Arai, remain unchanged, and will support Mikoshiba as he makes the transition into the new position.

Joining Honda in 1980, Toshiaki Mikoshiba has held a number of senior automotive and sales roles. In April 2008, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Director, Honda Motor Europe Ltd, later moving on to become President of Honda Russia and most recently, in 2011, he was appointed President, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.
