FISITA's Travel Bursary offers funding for students to work and study abroad

FISITA (Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Ingénieurs des Techniques de l'Automobile) announced that it is accepting applications for the second round of its 2014 Student Travel Bursary, offering up to 2,000 euros to any student studying engineering wishing to work or
study abroad.

The initiative, launched in 2006, has funded the overseas placements of hundreds of students from around the world, supporting their living and accommodation costs. FISITA has always supported the education, training and international experience of students, and the FISITA Travel Bursary assists the engineers of tomorrow in achieving their career aspirations.

"Any bursary received can be the difference between a year spent counting the days until you return home and the best year of your life. I cannot express how beneficial and enjoyable the past year has been, thanks in part to FISITA. The Travel Bursary provides an unparalleled experience working and socialising with those from a different cultural background and it enables you to finally apply the theoretical content you have learnt in real life engineering problems," said Nicholas Mitchell, a student at Loughborough University and a recipient of the FISITA Travel Bursary.

Any student that is a registered member of a FISITA automotive engineering society and is in full-time higher education studying engineering, is eligible to apply for the FISITA Travel Bursary. Students must have organised their placement before applying. Applications are judged by members of the FISITA Education Committee and the deadline for submissions is October 31, 2014.
