Seat recruits 150 more employees at Martorell plant

Seat is currently experiencing a moment of significant growth and is poised to employ 150 new employees recruited through temporary work agencies to meet increasing demand at the Martorell factory. These workers will be joining the company with a new contract
starting January 7 in addition to the 200 whose names were added to the Seat payroll last October.

So far this year, Seat has hired over 800 new employees, 233 this week alone, including the 45 who graduated from the first dual system professional training programme and were hired last July with a full-time contract.

"We are doing very well. The huge success of the models built by Seat in Martorell and the efforts made by all the workers is making it possible for us to generate more employment," said Josef Schelchshorn, Vice-President for Human Resources, Seat.

Dr. Andreas Tostmann, Vice-President for Production, Seat, added,  "The Seat factory in Martorell is Spain's largest car producer and one of the most competitive, efficient and modern plants in Europe, creating wealth and new jobs."
