Matthieu Lussiana won Brazilian Superbike Championship

The year 2014 ends with another title win for a privateer BMW Motorrad rider. Matthieu Lussiana (FR) was crowned champion in the highest category of the Brazilian Superbike Championship (BRSBK), the Moto 1000 GP class. The eighth and final round was held at
Cascavel (BR), with Lussiana celebrating his fourth win of the season on his BMW S 1000 RR to take the title. His Petronas Alex Barros Racing team is supported by the experts from BMW Motorrad Motorsport.

The Frenchman was the first European rider to be crowned champion in the Moto 1000 GP class of the BRSBK. "It is great to win the championship title," he said. "The people here are very welcoming, I already feel like here is home. I just want to thank everybody."

In the GP Light class, Lucas Teodoro (BR/BMW Motorrad Alex Barros Racing) ended the season with another podium finish, claiming second. His team-mate Waguinho Duarte (BR) came home seventh, while Fernando Neiva (BR/Black Day Racing Team) was the third privateer BMW Motorrad rider in the top ten, crossing the line in tenth.
