Renault announces senior management appointments

As of January 1st 2015, Christian Vandenhende is appointed EVP Quality and Total Customer Satisfaction, Renault Group, replacing Philippe Prevel, who will take other responsibilities. He will become a member of the Renault Executive Committee and will
report to Thierry Bollore, Chief Competitive Officer.

Born on August 30, 1961 in Brussels (Belgium), Christian Vandenhende holds an engineering degree from the Catholic University of Louvain. He began his career in research at the University of Louvain, then in 1985 joined Saint Gobain. In 1989, he joined Valeo as a product/process engineer and then held various positions in the Purchasing function before being named Purchasing Director of the Clutch Division in Amiens in 1996. He joined Renault in 1999 as head of the Supplier Performance Analysis department and was appointed Cost Price Director in 2003.

In addition to this function, in 2005, he was named Head of the transversal team on 'competitive local integration and global sourcing'. Since March 2008, Christian Vandenhende is Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization Director for Chassis, in the Purchasing Department. On March 1, 2009, he becomes Senior Vice-President, Purchasing, RNPO Managing Director and Alliance Global Purchasing Director.

As of April 1, 2014, Christian Vandenhende is appointed Alliance Executive Vice-President, Alliance Purchasing.

Yasuhiro Yamauchi is appointed Alliance EVP, Purchasing and Chairman & Managing Director of RNPO taking over Christian Vandenhende. He will report to Thierry Bollore, Chief Competitive Officer of Renault and to Hiroto Saikawa, Chief Competitive Officer of Nissan.

Been born in February, 1956, Yasuhiro Yamauchi is awarded a diploma by the School of Social sciences of International Christian University of Tokyo, in Japan.

He begins his career in Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., in 1981, where he occupies various executive positions in the purchasing function, as well as in RNPO.

In April, 2014, Yasuhiro Yamauchi is appointed Alliance Global Vice-President, Senior Vice-President, Alliance Purchasing, in-charge of the convergence of the Management and the Human resources of purchasing functions, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply chain of Renault and Nissan.

Veronique Sarlat Depotte is appointed Renault-Nissan Alliance Global SVP, Purchasing & Deputy Managing Director of RNPO. She will become a member of Renault Management Committee and will report to Yasuhiro Yamauchi, Alliance EVP, Purchasing and Chairman & Managing Director of RNPO.

Born in 1966, Veronique Sarlat Depotte is Engineer of Ecole Polytechnique FĂ©minine. She joined Renault in 1989 in Purchasing Division. In 1998, she became Purchasing Project Manager for the Espace. In 2003, she was appointed Executive Assistant to the CEO and in 2005 Deputy GM, Purchasing Strategy at Nissan Motors Limited. In 2009, she was appointed GM, RNPO Vehicle Body Parts within Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization (RNPO).  In 2010, she was promoted VP, RNPO Body & Electrical. At the start date of Convergence in 2014, she became Alliance Global Director, RNPO Body & Electrical.
