Hyundai India launches i20 Active starting from Rs. 6.38 lakh

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. launched the sport styled i20 Active. The launch marks the global debut of i20 Active in India.

The i20 Active offers urban mobility with a complete package from style to performance. The design expresses Hyundai's progressive spirit and passion with its aggressive and tall stance. i20 Active has a bold and athletic presence achieved through refined, flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and hexagonal grille.

Combining state-of-the-art technology and human engineering with the 2.0 Fluidic design; the latest expression model successfully fulfils the need for driving pleasure of customers evoking a sense of being one class above and confidence at the same time.

The i20 Active has a bold and athletic presence achieved through refined, flowing surfaces with bold proportions and sharp lines. The i20 Active adopts strong proportions and profile of a sport styled vehicle.

Its design confidently creates a sense of agility and the unique contours and the new hexagonal grille with chrome surround lends a bold image. Honeycomb designed lower air dam with large engine hood and high ground clearance makes the i20 active more masculine and athletic.

The powerful rear-end is a result of the large tailgate spoiler, steeply raked tail glass for coupe like feeling, hi-tech and unique 3 step wrap around tail lights and rear bumper with skid plates. The theme of a circular rear reflector with reverse lamps defines classy bold looks and also aids safe driving during the night.

i20 Active is built on a platform that endows stylish exterior with very generous interior dimensions. The Intelligent packaging offers an excellent exterior-to-interior dimension ratio, optimising the space that is available to passengers and luggage. The spirit of sportiness is enhanced with two segment unique options of interior colour packages - Tangerine Orange and Aqua Blue.

The i20 Active promises to comfortable seat 3 adults in the rear while ensuring optimum headroom and legroom. 60:40 split seats provide the flexibility to customize both storage and cargo space. Stuff the boot to your need- because i20 Active offers a boot space of 285 litres.

Extensive testing and tuning as per Indian road conditions has made the ride and handling of i20 Active stable and comfortable. i20 Active is available with two engine options 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT petrol and 1.4 U2 CRDi diesel engine.

With an emphasis on practicality, the powertrains have been engineered for optimum performance, power delivery and high fuel efficiency. A range of 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT  and 2nd Generation U2 1.4 CRDi engines offer maximum drivability in almost all conditions, delivering high power & torque with enhanced fuel efficiency.

The smooth-shifting transmission ensures maximum availability of full engine output and contributes to a smooth and relaxing ride for occupants.

The i20 Active will be available in a range of six colours - earth brown, retro shine, polar white, sleek silver, red passion and phantom black.
