750 old Fords go on display at Heritage Motor Centre

Up to 750 old Fords will go on display at the Heritage Motor Centre when it hosts the 7th Old Ford Rally. The show, on July 19, is the biggest Rally of old Fords in the UK. Fords including commercials, tractors and vehicles with a Ford engine, built up to 1991, will be on
display exhibiting the tremendous range of vehicles. This year the show will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War 2 with a military display of over 25 Fords, courtesy of the North Oxon and Cotswolds Military Vehicle Trust. Exhibitors and visitors are encouraged to attend wearing 1940s costumes to add to the theme of the show.

Visitors to the show will be able to see a wide range of vehicles from Model T's to the cars of the pre-war austerity years plus agricultural vehicles, Thames and Ford commercial and military vehicles and the more luxurious post-war Zephyr's, Zodiac's and Granada's plus the Mk1 and Mk2 family Cortina's and Ford Anglia's and Escorts. There will also be the early 1960's Ford Classic Capri and the later 1970's and 80's Ford Capri. The show will host a small club entry of pre 1990 Ford Transits and there will be a Ford auto jumble and an arena with commentary throughout the day.

"The Old Ford Rally is a real enthusiasts show and incredibly popular amongst Ford fans. It's is a great day out for anyone interested in old vehicle's even if they're not Ford enthusiasts!" said Tom Caren, Show Manager, Heritage Motor Centre.
