Cycle rally for a noble cause

After pedaling 2,300 km Datta Patil, International Cyclist and Sudhir Patil – from the International Cycle Academy who embarked on a cycle rally  from Sangli to Panipat from April 22, 2012, reached New Delhi on their way campaigning against female Feticide and save the girl
child.

As a part of this noble cause, 15 boys and 15 girls have enrolled themselves to pedal a distance of 2,500 km covering a total of 18 cities. The aim of the rally is to spread the message against female feticide to save the girl child.

These 30 children are covering cities like Karad, Satara, Pune, Ahmadnagar, Malegaon, Chahsgaon, Dulia, Shurpur, Sendava, Devas, Shahjapur, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Dolpur, Agra, Mathura, reached Delhi and would start for their culmination point in the city of Panipat as an endeavor to spread the strong message to  the remotest of corner of India.

Touching Delhi these children were welcomed by Shiv Inder Singh, Managing Director, Firefox Bikes Pvt. Ltd. “Firefox is honored to be associated with this cause; it is very important that each one of us play a positive role in saving the girl child.  Firefox would continue to support causes for the betterment of the society,” said Shiv Inder Singh.

Datta Patil said, “We are very overwhelmed by the response of people accepting girls in villages. We will continue to encourage and keep the momentum going for this noble cause."
