Ducati UK host Open Day at Silverstone in association with BikeSafe

Ducati UK hosted an Open Day at its Silverstone headquarters inviting businesses from the Silverstone circuit estate and surrounding areas to view the new facility and test ride the Ducati range.

Although Ducati UK moved to its Silverstone premises last August for
many on the Silverstone site it was their first time to view the facility and see the Ducati range up close.

BikeSafe was on hand to escort riders on test rides. Each test ride was accompanied by a BikeSafe assessor and riders were provided with feedback on their riding standard. Riders were able to choose from the complete Ducati range including the new 1199 Panigale, the award winning Diavel, the Streetfighter 848 and Multistrada 1200.

BikeSafe supplied 10 Police officers for the day which was made up of officers from Thames Valley, Hampshire and Warwickshire police. BikeSafe and Ducati have forged close links as Ducati UK continue to support the BikeSafe Project including the loan of a Multistrada 1200 to Glen Dennis, BikeSafe’s National Co-ordinator.

“'BikeSafe was delighted to be invited by Ducati to offer an open taster day at their Silverstone headquarters. The day was a huge success with a large number of riders pre-booked to come along and enjoy riding a variety of Ducati's. Each test ride was accompanied by a BikeSafe assessor and riders were provided with feedback on their riding standard," commented Glen Dennis.

"We hope that the Ducati riders on the day were able to see the benefit of developing their riding, and would consider attending a full BikeSafe workshop with a view to then go and take structured training through IAM, RoSPA or the enhanced rider scheme.”

"We've always been in favour of Bikesafe and this open day was a perfect joint initiative - a chance to test ride a new Ducati while also having a taster for Bikesafe," said Tim Maccabee, Managing Director of Ducati UK.
