Maruti Suzuki WagonR launches 'Think Big Challenge 3'

Maruti Suzuki WagonR launched the 'WagonR Think Big Challenge 3' after the immensely successful two seasons as an initiative to bring out the most innovative and unique business ideas by acting as a platform for all those who are looking for a support to
start with. The challenge is based on WagonR’s core brand values - smartness and leadership. The ultimate test of one's passion, leadership and zeal, the WagonR Think Big Challenge sought out a smart idea with the power to change the course of the future. Based on the adage - All big movements start with a big thought, the WagonR Think Big Challenge is a call to action for those who have the perfect business plan, the right skill set and the passion, but were waiting for the right opportunity.

The salience of entrepreneurship in India has strengthened in the recent times, then be it in the social, technological or commercial space. Young entrepreneurs who don’t belong to long-established business communities have begun to emerge in large numbers. They are scaling new heights and carving a niche for themselves with ideas that are creative and original. Realising the enormous potential and considering that entrepreneurship is a critical element of growth economy, Maruti Suzuki WagonR has once again taken the initiative to promote the next generation of entrepreneurs in the third season of WagonR Think Big Challenge.

India has a wide pool of talent and capable individuals. Most of the ideas & talent gets killed because of lack of opportunities and dearth of capital. This initiative is to hold the hands of such talented young men across the country and provide them the most viable platform to showcase their skills. With this challenge Maruti Suzuki WagonR is investing in people with a long-term vision. The ultimate aim is to boost individual growth and overall economic development of the country. The idea is to channelise the energies of young minds in the right direction. At the end there would be one winner but in the process, there will be many thought leaders and visionaries created for the country. The winner of this challenge would be presented with a WagonR, Rs. 10 lakh cash prize and venture capital.

Madhavan who has been involved with the first two seasons and now with the third one said, “Maruti Suzuki WagonR recognises a need to promote and better support the efforts of young talented people help them start, grow and succeed as small business owners. Maruti Suzuki has always been a brand for the masses and with this initiative its consumer driven approach is once again reinforced.”

The campaign would begin on a pan-India basis with online registrations of business ideas from 19 cities. 10 participants will be selected from each city basis their submission of business proposal. 1 winner from each city will be selected in the main city round. These 19 people will make it to the zonals round from which 4 participants from each zone will make it to the national round. These aspiring entrepreneurs will be mentored by management gurus and will be judged by an exclusive panel at each step of this campaign.

WagonR Think Big Challenge 3 is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all big thinkers in the country to shine and present their ideas not just among the expert panel of judges but also in front of the whole nation. With an outstanding track record in the last two seasons, the third season promises to thrive on driving and mentoring to scale greater heights.
