The England Football Team visit Vauxhall Motors headquarters

The England Football Squad visited Vauxhall Motors, lead sponsors, at their Headquarters in Luton before flying out to Krakow, Poland ahead of Euro 2012.

As the England team coach pulled up on Osborne Road, Vauxhall Motors
staff congregated in reception to welcome the team. The England team were led into the building by Roy Hodgson and his management team of Ray Lewington and Gary Neville as Vauxhall Motors’ staff wished the team luck for the Championships and their first fixture against France on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Donbass Arena, Donetsk.

Captain Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and the squad posed for pictures with Vauxhall staff, the award-winning Vauxhall Ampera and signed a special commemorative autograph board during the visit.

“It was a privilege to meet the England squad before they travel out to represent us in Poland and the Ukraine. Football fever is definitely alive and kicking at Vauxhall Motors. We’ll be supporting the team through all their fixtures and we’re looking forward to their first game,” said Robert Parker, Forecasting Manager at Vauxhall Motors.

The visit coincided with the launch of Vauxhall Motors’ Home Nations football TV advert. 'Supporting a Nation' features current members of the England Football Squad, football fans and Vauxhall staff from the Vauxhall Ellesmere Port production facility in Merseyside, the home of the Vauxhall Astra.

The new advert focuses on the England team as they prepare for a major fixture. It reflects on how fans stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the players, supporting the team and bringing the nation together.
