Motorsport legend Murray Walker joins Race Retro for its 10th anniversary celebrations

Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a true motorsport legend when it returns to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire from Friday 22 to Sunday 24, February 2013. The voice of Formula One, commentator and
journalist Murray Walker OBE will make his Race Retro debut on the Saturday and Sunday.

Murray, who was born in the West Midlands, celebrates 65 years in motorsport in 2013, after making his first broadcast at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in 1948. For fifty years, Murray commentated on Formula One with broadcasts being circulated all over the world. Drivers and fans alike loved his distinctive, enthusiastic commentary style and his gentlemanly and considerate conduct, seeing the best in drivers who had attracted controversy. He rarely criticised drivers and preferred to give the benefit of the doubt in attributing blame for incidents.

Fans will have the chance to ask Murray all about his career, favourite moments and his thoughts on the drivers and teams for the 2013 season that will be about to begin shortly after the show. He will appear on the live interview stage for Q&A sessions as well as signing autographs and memorabilia for fans attending.

As well as the live interview stage with its special guests, motorsport fans can enjoy a stunning array of racing and rallying cars, high octane live action demonstrations, rare motorcycles, hundreds of traders and even get behind the wheel for a drive in a fully prepared rally car.
