Ford appoints new Commercial Vehicle Press Officer

Ford has appointed Dan Jones as Commercial Vehicle Press Officer in readiness for the next wave of Ford Transit and Ford Transit Connect launches.

Dan, who has been with Ford Britain's Communications and Public Affairs for almost three years, takes over from
Anne-Marie Chatterton, who has joined Ford's specialist CV sales team.

Since moving to Ford from Caterham Cars at the end of 2009, Dan has handled both product and company news projects, including July's milestone celebration of 40-million engines produced at Ford Dagenham where Ford Transit engines are assembled.

He will support next week's Hannover CV Show with members of the CV design and engineering team, assisting with the debut of the all-new Ford Transit 2T and Ford Transit Connect.

"I'm thrilled to be appointed as Ford's CV press officer, especially at such an exciting stage in the complete renewal of Ford's commercial vehicle range," said Dan. "I'm looking forward to playing a direct part in the success of the UK's most famous van line-up."

A keen sportsman, Dan is team captain of Addiscombe Hockey Club, Croydon, and lives in South London.
