London to host Future Drive Motor Show 2013

Media 10 revealed that London is to host an exciting new show - 'Future Drive Motor Show'. The show will give the automotive industry an opportunity to showcase its latest high-tech and cutting
-edge vehicles and motorbikes to the British public. Future Drive Motor Show will run from
the May 5-12, 2013 at ExCeL London.

"The automotive sector has developed some amazing and jaw dropping technology that the public would love to see... Gadgets that 'Q' would have developed for James Bond are now a reality - cars that drive themselves, park themselves, stop motorists having accidents, cars that run on electricity and even hydrogen as well as traditional looking  but silent electric motorbikes," said event organiser Giles Brown.

"According to our research visitors are looking for a show where they can see new vehicles, take a test drive, talk to the experts and arm themselves with knowledge that will help them in their buying decision process. Motorists are faced with an ever more complex range of technology to consider when they look to buy their new mode of transport - whether it is a car or a bike, Future Drive will deliver all this and more."

Future Drive Motor Show evolves from EcoVelocity, the low carbon motor show that attracted 58,000 visitors at its inaugural ExCeL event in 2012. The change is as a direct result of visitor research highlighting that seeing and test driving the latest high-tech vehicles was the most important reason to visit a motor show and that they expected new cars to be more environmentally friendly as standard.

Future Drive will have a wide range of new vehicles on display and available for test drives. Future Drive 2013 will also include a host of features including an electric supercar paddock, a garage of the future, a motorbike and scooter test drive area as well as a kiddies driving area.

"As parent company of the new show and owners of multi-award winning shows including Grand Designs Live and The Ideal Home Show we are investing heavily in Future Drive to ensure it establishes itself as the leading event for motorists," commented Rob Nathan, Marketing Director, Media 10.
