BMW Group Latin America and the Caribbean announces changes in management team

BMW Group Latin America and the Caribbean announced the new appointments.

Alexander Werner Wehr will assume the role of Head of Global Sales Planning and Steering, based at BMW Group's Headquarters in Munich, starting April 1.

During his period as CEO for
Latin America and the Caribbean, Alexander Werner Wehr has implemented significant changes within the dealer and importer network, paving the way for continued sustainable growth in the region. Under his leadership, the Number One Position of BMW Group Latin America and the Caribbean in the Premium Car Segment was remarkably strengthened across the region. In 2012, all brands, BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad posted record sales reaching the best sales results ever in the history of BMW Group Latin America and the Caribbean. His experience and valuable contributions to this emerging sales region during his period as CEO as well as various strategic and operational sales functions he has been holding at BMW Group's Headquarters in the past 15 years lead to his appointment to Head of Global Sales Planning and Steering operated from Munich.

Rolf Epp will take over the position as CEO of BMW Group Latin America and the Caribbean, based at BMW Group's Regional Office in Panama, effective April 1.

In this role, he will head up the importer markets in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as the BMW Group subsidiary in Argentina. Currently, Epp is Sales and Marketing Director of BMW Motorrad at BMW Group do Brasil. Brazil is recognised as one of the up and coming BRIKT market economies and among the largest BMW Motorrad markets worldwide.

As Director of BMW Motorrad at BMW Group do Brasil, Rolf Epp achieved an outstanding increase in sales, segment share volume, and growth of dealer network across the whole country.

He has over 16 years of extensive experience within the BMW Group across business areas like sales, dealer development, marketing, and communications. Being from Latin America and having worked for the company in multiple countries within Central and South America, like Panama, Argentina and Brazil, to mention a few, he has an excellent  knowledge of this vast region and its markets.
