Cornes Motors Ltd named Rolls-Royce Motor Cars 'Dealer of the Year' for Asia Pacific

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is delighted to name Cornes Motors Ltd its Asia Pacific region, dealer of the year for 2012.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Tokyo emerged the winner amongst 16 other competing dealerships in the region to clinch the title through outstanding results in the areas
of Sales, Aftersales and Bespoke.

In another example of the dealership's close attention to detail and aftersales standards, Masanori Sasaki won the inaugural Best Aftersales Manager of the Year for the Asia Pacific region.

On receiving the award from Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Kenzo Watari, CEO of Cornes Motors Ltd, commented, "My team and I are most delighted to receive this award in recognition of our passion and commitment to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. We thank our loyal and valued customers who have supported us for many years. Our motto is much the same as founder Sir Henry Royce's - to strive for perfection in anything we do. So we aim to continue to better ourselves, offer unparalleled service and segment-leading products."

"My sincerest congratulations to Kenzo Watari and his team for their continued efforts to maintain a high level of business success in a challenging market. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Tokyo is a leading role model of what a Rolls-Royce dealership should be. With the introduction of Ghost in 2010, we saw Cornes Motors Ltd reaching out to more customers. Building on the success of Ghost, we believe that Wraith will also bring more new customers to the marque when it debuts in Japan. Japan is now the largest market in the Asia Pacific region outside of China, and this would not have been possible without the team's hard work, meticulous attention to detail and careful planning. Furthermore, Cornes' long standing history of retailing high quality goods in Japan - a business which goes back to 1861 - is a perfect fit for our pinnacle brand," added Asia Pacific Regional Director, Paul Harris.

Dan Balmer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars General Manager for Asia Pacific said, "Since its official launch in 2003, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Tokyo has created a sustainable model to meet growing demand for Rolls-Royce cars in Japan. In 2012, the dealership opened a new showroom in Shiba (Minato-ku, Tokyo) with increased retail space, representing Cornes Motors Ltd’s confidence in the continuing success of the Rolls-Royce brand in Tokyo. The company was also appointed as our new dealer for Osaka and the showroom will be officially launched later this month."

George Rowlands, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Regional Aftersales Manager for Asia Pacific, added, "The Cornes' Aftersales team and facilities conforms to global Rolls-Royce standards. Under Masanori Sasaki's leadership and dedication to the marque, the team performed outstandingly, constantly exceeding expectations."
