Hans-Heiner Tuting to head Sales South America at Volkswagen Passenger Cars

Hans-Heiner Tuting (57) is to head the newly-established Sales South America division at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, having previously successfully established the National Sales Organization in Mexico. The change takes effect on September 1, 2013.
Responsibility for Sales North America remains with Terence Johnsson (52).

Hans-Heiner Tuting is an economist and sociologist. He joined Volkswagen in 1979. From 1995 he held various senior management positions in sales at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands. Tuting was given responsibility for Sales Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Middle East and Africa at Volkswagen Passenger Cars in 2008; he was named Vice-President Marketing, Sales & Service at Volkswagen de Mexico in January 2012.

Terence Johnsson joined the Volkswagen Group in 2011. He graduated with a Masters in Business Economics in 1984 and began his career with General Motors, where he was latterly Vice-President Sales, Service & Marketing in Shanghai. He was given responsibility for Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand sales in the Americas in March 2011.
